Ibn Tofail University (ITU)

Ibn Tofail is a public University belonging to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It includes 5 faculties and 5 high schools. The staff consists of 600 teacher-researchers in 10 institutions which deal with teaching, research and development activities. These multidisciplinary and multi-institutional staffs cover a wide range of specialties. Ibn Tofail University currently trains 60,000 students in specialties such as bachelor, master, engineer and PhD. ITU has a strong experience in various fields including human health, agricultural sciences, renewable energies, automobile, wastewater treatment. Regarding wastewater treatment, the university has its own wastewater treatment plant using nano-membrane technology (Sidi Taibi plant) and has just recently acquired a latest generation treatment plant using membrane bioreactors. The involvement of Ibn Tofail University in several research contracts at the national and the international level, thanks to highly qualified and innovative staff, makes it a high-level research and development establishment.

• Inductively Coupled Plasma Opt. ;
• Emis. Spectrometry (ICP-OES); CG-MS / MS ; 
• Flame photometer with 5 filters; ato. Abs. spectrophotometer (AAS) ;
•  X-ray diffraction (XRD); UV VIS ; 
• 3 wastewater treatment plants (Bioreactor Membrane pilot plant, Reverse osmosis and nanofiltration pilot plants, Anaerobic digestion plant) ;
• and 4 greenhouses with controlled conditions.
