The Faculty of Sciences of Sfax (Arabic: بصفاقس العلوم كلية (is a faculty that is a part of the  University of Sfax. 

Since its creation in 1987, the Faculty of Sciences do Sfax has continued to develop and advance  in terms of teaching and scientific research. 

The Faculty of Sciences of Sfax offers a wide range of fundamental and applied training  courses. The Faculty is built on six pillars, namely six departments: mathematics, biology, chemistry ,computer science, physics and geology ; and a doctoral school, which together  contribute to achieving its objectives. 

With over 3,000 students, 450 teachers and 170 administrative, technical and production staff,  the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax is the largest institution at the University of de Sfax. The Faculy des Sciences de Sfax offers its students training in the fields of Basic and  Technological Sciences, leading to diplomas of : 

• Unified licence (Bac + 3) 
• Research or professional Master’s degree (Bac + 5) 
• Doctorate (Bac + 8) 

The Faculty of Science also offers training in preparation for competitive entrance examinations  to engineering schools, as well as an integrated preparatory cycle in computer science. Graduates with a basic or applied bachelor’s degree can go on to study for a research or  professional master’s degree. Research Master’s programs are generally linked to the doctoral  school, while professional Master’s programs are linked to the internship department. In addition to university instructors. 

In addition to university trainers, experts and professionals often contribute to these courses,  as part of our institution’s openness to the socio-economic world. 

Scientific research at the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax is based on the contribution of 32 research  structures, including 30 laboratories and 2 units, as well as 4 common service units. The Faculty of Sciences of Sfax is open to a number of international cooperative ventures with  countries in the Maghreb, Europe, the USA and Asia. These partnerships cover both teaching  and scientific research. 

The Faculty do Sciences of Sfax’s openness to the socio-economic world is ensured by the  internship department.

Each year, the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax organizes or participates in the organization of  several cultural and scientific events in the fields of scientific research and teaching.
