Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire Hassan II (IAV) is a high education and research organization in the domains of agronomy, rural engineering, food industry, veterinary sciences and topography. The staff counts about 200 professors-researchers dispatched in 22 departments and 22 research units which are involved in engineer, master degree and PhD degree training, research and development tasks. IAV trains 340 engineers and 60 veterinarians per year. The institute performs about 50 PhD thesis per year. The professors-researchers of the Rural Engineering department who will be involved in Safe project work in the main domains of the water management, irrigation and drainage, wastewater treatment and reuse, drinking water supply and civil engineering.
